Plug Studios NYC has recently added two new deluxe production rooms — the Red Room and the Blue Room — by Wes Lachot Design Group. We are also current working on redesigning 3 other production rooms for Plug Studios, which is quickly becoming a major player in the NYC urban music scene.
The Red Room and the Blue Room are acoustically identical and are based on true Reflection Free Zone principles. Each room features the Augspurger Duo 8 Sub 12 system mounted in true a infinite baffle arrangement, for the best low frequency response possible from this type of system. Each room's rear wall features custom tuned bass trapping and Brett Acoustics Slatffusors.
Each production room has an associated Iso-booth with Sony C800g and Neumann U87 microphones, and the control rooms are fitted with identical equipment, including pieces by Tubetech, Avalon, SSL, Dangerous Music, and Universal Audio.
All studio furniture is by Brett Acoustics, and the acoustical buildout was expertly handled by Joe Salvatto.
