Fletcher B Studios is a brand new ground up recording facility, complete with it's own apartment and bedrooms for musicians who want to work in a beautiful private location surrounded by nature. Convenient to Chapel Hill, Raleigh and Durham, NC, the compound is owned by John Boggess.
This studio includes a spacious live room with a well maintained Steinway B grand piano, a vintage B3 and Leslie, and plenty of vintage guitars and amps as well as vintage keyboards.
There are also three iso-booths, large enough for drums or grand piano, and a large Live room with adjustable acoustics, suitable for all types of recording.
The control room features a Reflection Free Zone design employing ATC's SCM150 in-wall monitors with 15" ATC subs. The console is a recently restored vintage Quad Eight 3650. The control room credenza contains a large assortment of outboard gear.
Brett Acoustics built and installed built and installed by Tony Brett and his team at Brett Acoustics. Audio and technical wiring was installed by Canova Audio, and grounding and power design is by Howard Hoyt of Pro Audio Engineering. Aaron Kelley shared in the acoustical design and handled drafting, modeling and project management.
