Sound Temple Studios is located is located in beautiful Asheville, NC, a very creative town with a great music scene. Studio owner Robert George requested a studio design with a spiritual feel and a sensitivity to principles of feng shui, a place with the feel of a sacred space. At the completion of the project, Robert sent us these comments:

More importantly, he honored those requests in the design. The studio I have been dreaming about all my life is more beautiful and sounds better than I could have imagined. The control room is built around an SSL Matrix console, Pro Tools, Dynaudio M3A active in-wall monitors, and Hafler 9505 amplification and crossovers. The RFZ zone is quite large, with excellent imaging from behind the console all the way back to the producer's couch. The studio is outfitted with a variety of great gear by Apogee, Focusrite, Tube-tech, Neve, Empirical Labs, Universal Audio, AEA, Neumann, Brauner, Lawson, Audio Technica, etc.
The tracking room features a Yamaha C-6 grand piano (6'-11"), and an assortment of drums, percussion, and other instruments. The room is large enough for old-school recording techniques, and features three separate iso-booths, each of which can be opened up to the main room, further increasing the size of the tracking room area. The center iso-booth is large enough to house the grand piano. All of the tracking areas have excellent visual connections with each other and with the control room. Studio amenities include a lounge with kitchenette and entertainment system, as well as a secluded meditation room.
